So Mama Don't Take My Kodachrome Away

Hey y'all

This is Liz and I thought I'd share some photos I've taken this past year.

I love taking pictures with my digital camera. Since there is no film to 'waste' I snap away and look at it later. Every now and then I come up with something worth saving.

We encourage you to send in your photos. You can email them to cumberlandhillonline@yahoo.com. We'll post them once a week. There will be a copyright image up on the blog before the weekend.

Don't forget the big neighborhood yard sale THIS Saturday-- April 25.

Hope to see more of you all soon!

Greetings and Salutations!

Hello Cumberland Hillians (Is that a word? Well, it is now!) and welcome to Cumberland Hill Online. This blog is designed to be for our neighbors and by our neighbors. On this site we encourage you to share information with your fellow homeowners so that we might help each other and get to know each other a little better. In some small way, it is our vision that this blog may in some way help to foster even more community spirit than already exists, thereby enriching all our lives.

To the right you will see a list of links to businesses that we think are worthy of your patronage (read: some of our favorites). If you know of other links that you think should be included, please let us know.

How can you contribute to this venture? Any number of ways! Allow us to list a few:

  • Do you have a favorite recipe that you'd like to share with everyone?

  • Want to brag about a furry friend or two? Dog? Cat? Llama?

  • Now that spring is in full swing, do you have any gardening tips for those of us with less-than-green thumbs?

  • Are you having a yard sale?

  • Have you experienced exceptionally good service at a local business, and would like to help get the word out?

  • Conversely, have you had a very poor experience? We'd like to know that, too.

  • Are you a member of a local group or club and want to get the word out to others that might be interested? On a side note, we have been kicking around the idea of getting together a monthly poker game in the neighborhood.

That's just the tip of the iceberg. Whatever you'd like to share with your fellow Cumberland Hillians (catchy, no?) we want to print it. Email us at cumberlandhillonline(at)yahoo(dot)com. We'd love to hear from you.

Input. We love input!

In the meantime, see ya around the neighborhood!
